CLASS DESCRIPTIONS 


INTRO

In this class, you will spend a little more time in each pose focusing on alignment. You will learn the fundamentals of linking movement with breath in a vinyasa style practice. This is a beneficial class for beginners but suitable for any level of practitioner.


Good Morning

Yoga

Start your day by focusing on your body, mind and breathing. This class will start with gentle movement and stretching to warm up the joints and muscles. From there, we will move to more challenging movements linking postures with breath and working up a good, morning sweat.  After cool-down, class will end with a short guided meditation so you leave feeling focused, aware and ready for your day. Some basic knowledge of yoga poses is recommended for this class.


Yin Yang

The best of both worlds! In the first half of this class, the focus will be on building heat and strength. Movement will be linked with breath in a flow style practice. The second half will be a more passive, relaxed style with longer held postures and stretching to get deeper into the connective tissue and to restore the nervous system before going on with your day.


Flow

This is a fast paced vinyasa style class. You will be linking movement with breath in fluid motions. General knowledge of the postures and a background in fitness is suggested.  


Power

You will get a great work out in this class! The aim is to build strength, burn fat, tighten your core as well as improve balance and tone your muscles. The faster paced movements will also boost your cardiovascular health. Be prepared to sweat and feel the burn! This class is for more advanced students with a high fitness level.


Power Flow

This is a powerful class with elements of working out mixed with a familiar vinyasa flow practice. Most classes will include arm balances and inversions. Knowledge of the practice is suggested. Geared more towards experienced yoga practitioners.


Yoga with Weights

This class will combine yoga postures with basic weight lifting. Weights may be involved in the warm up and cool down, but are ALWAYS OPTIONAL. This is a fast moving class and we will focus on building strength and getting sweaty! A background in fitness is suggested.


Sweat Serenity

Stretch, sweat, relax, restore, and let go. This is what we like to call a "mat class": it will only involve postures where you are lying, seated or on the hands and knees. It will incorporate longer held postures, deep stretching, breathing and meditation. Leave in complete serenity; a fantastic class for everyone.


Goodnight Yoga

Say goodnight to your day in this soothing class. It is a practice for everyone. You will be guided through some gentle movements but mostly hold passive postures aiming to physically let everything go and surrender to your mat.


Yoga Stretch

This is for all levels. It is a practical class exploring various postures in an accessible way with the option to go deeper if you are an advanced practitioner.


BUTI

Buti Yoga is a dynamic asana practice fused with primal movement, tribal dance and deep core engagement. It’s kind of like dance yoga and it's SO MUCH FUN! Why not add in some awesome beats, shaking, primal movement and more to your practice?! If you haven't tried buti yet, this is the time!


Barre

Most barre-based classes use a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements.


Gentle Yoga

This class incorporates gentle postures, deep stretching, breathing techniques and meditation. Leave in complete serenity; a fantastic class for everyone. You will leave you feeling relaxed and calm.


26 & 2

This is a shorter version of the original form of hot yoga, inspired by the Bikram Yoga Method. This class consists of 26 yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises, some of which are performed twice. When practiced in a room heated this is a challenging yet very therapeutic yoga class/workout. The class is a 60 minute moving meditation, known to heal injuries, boost your immune system, help with weight loss, over come depression and increase your flexibility. Be prepared to sweat and work hard! Not recommended for beginners


Yin

Yin consists of very long held postures. Designed to get deep into the connective tissues, you will hold still for up to 5 minutes or longer. This can be a very meditative practice and will have you digging deep, getting uncomfortable and diving into yourself.
